Fares & Passes

Listed below are KAT's current fares--in addition to the pass options listed below, you may also choose to pay your fare in cash when you board the bus. If you insert more cash in the farebox than the required fare, a change card will be issued that can be used on your next fare.
PLEASE NOTE NEW PAYMENT POLICY: Pass purchases on buses or at the downtown Transfer Point are CASH ONLY; checks and money orders will be accepted ONLY at KAT's Administrative offices (1135 Magnolia Avenue until September 18, 2009; 900 Volunteer Landing in the former Gateway Visitors Center building beginning September 21, 2009).

For more information on the new pass options, click here.

7-day passes, 30-day passes & 20-ride Express Route passes may be purchased at First Tennessee Bank downtown.

All types of passes may be purchased at KAT's main offices at 1135 Magnolia Avenue.
In addition, some bus operators sell monthly passes (passes purchased on buses are cash only).
