Memorial Day Holiday

KAT Buses will operate on a Saturday schedule on Monday, May 27, due to the Memorial Day holiday. Trolleys will not operate on Memorial Day, and KAT Administrative offices, including the Customer Service counter at Knoxville Station, will be closed. Regular service will resume on Tuesday, May 28. Have a safe and happy holiday!

Many routes will see more frequent service and revised time schedules beginning on Monday, June 3. Download the pdf with details and links to the new schedules here.

You can also pick up a new schedule from Knoxville Station as soon as they become available--all new schedules should be available by Friday, June 24.

The Knoxville Transportation Authority (KTA) will consider the following three Title VI policies at its regular meeting on May 23:

1. Major Service Change Policy

2. Disparate Impact Policy

3. Disproportionate Burden Policy

UT Semester Pass Program Ends May 31

As a reminder to UT students, faculty and staff, UT semester passes will no longer be valid in KAT fareboxes, effective June 1, 2013, regardless of when they were purchased. After May 1, if you need to purchase a pass, we suggest you purchase a 30-day pass, which is available at Knoxville Station's Customer Information Counter or available by mail-in order via the website. Coming in August will be a 20-Ride pass for $25, and we will be working with The University of Tennessee on a new semester pass program for students.
